 Shihan Timothy Armstrong

 Godan: 5th degree black belt

 

Mr Armstrong has been involved in sword arts for the past twenty five years participating in sport, historical and even stage forms in that time.

 

He began his kenjutsu training under Shidoshi Bob Reed and Shihan Diane Turco in early 2000.

 

In 2001 as a 2nd kyu (purple belt) he took 2nd place in sparring at U.S.S.F. sword nationals beating out black belts from other schools from across the nation to reach the finals.

 

By the time his instructors moved to New Zealand in late 2003 Armstrong had attained shodan (1st degree black belt) and took over as the primary teacher at the dojo.
